FilmCrew (Crewkerne Community Cinema)’s April screening, is this inspiring and thought provoking prison-set drama – ‘Sing Sing’.
Based on the real-life Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison, the film centres on a group of incarcerated men involved in the creation of theatrical stage shows through the program. It stars professional actors Colman Domingo (an Oscar nominated performance), Sean San José and Paul Raci, alongside many real-life formerly incarcerated men who were themselves alumni of the program during their incarceration.

The film is in English but will be shown with subtitles.
Doors open at 19:00, and then the film will be introduced at 19:30 and will finish by c21:30.
Entry for non-members is £6 payable on the door (please bring exact cash if possible).
Parking onsite at Wadham School, plus tiered seating, cushions, free tea/coffee and cake available (in return for a donation to a good cause).
Please note, that in line with the BBFC classification, no one younger than 15 may see a 15 rated film in a cinema.
