At Thorney Lakes, we don’t have set pitches. Just space. You pitch where you like and can park next to your tent or caravan anywhere on our 7-acre campsite. Our campsite is on a traditional Somerset Cider Orchard. All pitches are level with plenty of electric hookups across the park. We have no setup pitches, we welcome groups of families and friends.
Our facilities include solar-powered showers, toilets, washing up areas, wood pellet boiler run family rooms (Showers, toilet sink & lots of space) and drinking water. Thorney Lakes Caravan & Camping enjoy being environmentally friendly, we have various recycling points for all your waste.
We are at the centre of the Somerset Moors and Levels. There are some brilliant walks and cycle rides nearby. On-site there are over 2 miles of off-road walks, We welcome with open arms any pets you may wish to bring along, and have won awards for being a dog-friendly site.
We’re only one mile from the historic village of Muchelney and two from the market town of Langport, where you can find the local supermarket, leisure centre and cafés.
The sunrises and sunsets are magnificent to watch over the apple trees. We recommend a visit to the local Burrow Hill for the views across the levels. The views are best paired with Burrow Hill Farm cider!
The coarse fishing lake is approx 1/4 mile from the campsite, a great activity to do while you’re camping at Thorney Lakes.
